PATERNAL FAMILY continued...

I was working on my grandfather's side on post above but after Scrabble

I was led to look at Papa's parents-

both his mother's side on a new post here.

I will go back to the other post

another day

but I am being led to work on here.

Dealer with Groceries --- Rented Home ---

Occupation- farmer - owns a truck farm - 1930's

my second great grandmother:

interesting, the 1900 Census shows her on there

and they report she died in 1925 in Holland Ottawa Michigan

so where is her Census for that on the 1920 Census-

it does show her out of the Jacob Kraak household on 1920 Census yet is she still alive at that point...???

let me see if there is anything on Newspaper articles...

Okay, shows she died in article Feb 2, 1909, yet Ancestry.com has her alive until 1925. ???

I found the gravestone:

On found a grave website- shows:

this one makes sense ... being 9 years earlier she was on the 1900 Census there.

She was not on the prominent list yet on the death roll list:

Feb. 4, 1876 - Feb 2, 1909

but then articles like this makes it a "shelved" area of something that I need to delve deeper at.

I did find a celebration of her parent's anniversary that list her as deceased in 1925 article:

so my own grandpa attended 50th wedding anniversary event with his twin sister at age three and his parents-- which makes sense because the ones celebrating their anniversary of 50 years were my third great grandparents

and it is weird to thread the last name I knew as my last name until I changed it in 1993 thirty one years ago, began dating 33 years ago, and been knowing one another 36 years with very minor outside effects/affects shown our way, most I encountered was/were "Spiritual Warfare" in times my path with Jesus was gaining to be stronger-

some dark tried to alter the state of that path---

I am so tight now in my path with Jesus ---

it would be harder to see those moments nowadays...

it is interesting to learn about the maternal last names that married the Z name...and their history...

I am confused: I did look for another spelling of KRAAK for that area and saw this:

I am going to "pause" this area and go to her parents and see if anything comes from that area

I also saved this area:

3rd great grandpa was a Day Laborer --- his kids were a Day Laborer - Silk Winder - Grocery Clerk

1910 Census- at age 58, my 3rd great grandpa was a helper at the dye house and kids too & weaver at the silk mill.

1920 Census- at age 67, my 3rd great grandpa was a helper at the dye house and his son was a cutter at the overall factory & weaver at the silk mill.

.

Finally, 1930 Census- at age 77, my 3rd great grandpa shows retired...

my 3rd great grandpa moves as shows different residence in 1930 Census and passes on 4-1-40.

Looks like I can go back to my 9-10th grandparent on Papa's side.
